Oh, and who needs an auction house when we got GWGuru auctions? Though an ingame one would be a good idea. I, too, want to see many WoW-like additions - mostly more character customization, letter sending, auction houses, etc.
And for the millionth time, houses are a no-no, as Guild Wars' engine does not support small interiors (unless you intend to live in some castle with really high ceilings).

unrealistic, and never gonna happen, but so what:-D? lets see your take, on other games good ideas that could be really cool for GW!!!

so you want a creation system like Oblivion or NWN2 where you can actually customise your face etc
i do agree with you, then you won't see any clones around

I have to agree with the improved casting animations, most of them really need work.
Besides that, something similar to a summoning skill might work;
Call Balthazar: For 10...20 seconds, a level 30 avatar of Balthazaar appears. (can use skills from Warrior and Fire Magic)
Call Dwayna: For 10...20 seconds, a level 30 avatar of Dwayna appears. (can use Healing, divine and protection skills) etc. They would cost 30 energy, 10 second casting, 60 second cooldown. They aren't counted as spells, so faster recharge and casting wouldn't affect them.
Some kinda animal husbandry (Harvest Moon and .Hack//sign), buy a pet and let it grow (instead of fight), you have to feed it stuff to make it grow, but what you feed it and how often depends what kinda pet it turns into.
All I could think of now.

Yeah, Adding a bunch of casting animations for several spells, or dividing them up into several types and adding new animations for each would be good. I hate the elementist casting animation, that should only be used for DoT and Wards IMO.
I'm not going to say rip off Avatar (the last air bender), but every time I get a glimpse of that show I just say, damn, GW needs some better casting animations. It would be great if you actually saw the Elementist creating a ball of fire wile casting fire spells, or saw swirling (appropriate element) around the elementist wile he was preparing a non-projectile spell. I have to say that Aang just puts Elementist to shame, Shaaaaammmmeeeeee!
And then there are ideas from Anet which they used to stress but don't anymore....
Probably the most important improvement they could make is balancing out the skills though. Restrainning overpowered builds doesn't mean that the skills are balanced, there are a great deal of skills which are just too weak and ineffective, either in comparison to other skills available to that class, or to that classes overall capability.
And Anet could reduce the grind even more by reducing the cost of skills, expecially if they have been unlocked already. Grinding for gold is a pain, if skills cost less than we would be able to fill in our classes skills and even try for alternate secondaries or buy all that expensive armor.
We could also get a page from D2, and add more areas with masses of monsters which are weaker than us, so we can run around in circles slashing down dozens of weaklings instead of the regular small groups of over leveled enemeis.

If they where going to implant mounts, I would like to see them using the same technology as Mounts in Age of Conan; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JGyvHbV_UqE
That looks freakin unbeliveable good. they are using real life motion capture on the horses so they move correctly. and the fighting ON mount is really cool.
I like alot stuff about conan.. its sweet that its so bloddy and violent that it gets an 18+ rating. hopefully that will deminis all the kiddies who flock to mmos.
The combat system also looks good. reminds me of zelda.
and if its flying mounts, I would like to see something similiar to WoW: Burning Crusade. It looks really cool: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d3_YJYdVPjo
______
Perhaps a dialouge / conversation tree as seen in mass effect: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ss5y4h8m9dE and to a much lesser extent, KOTOR; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IobIhctxRXg
Gore and blood as seen in Gears of War: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LoPC_ibBJiQ <- when you kill enemies with the chain saw, they really fall apart in many body parts. they got really great blood effects too. it really give a satisfying effect.
Using your enviorment to your advantage as in Dead Rising: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xl_IgqME38A <- In Dead rising you can use everything to kill the zombies. even lawnmowers, cars, spitting, basketballs, katana swords, and so on...

Agreed, outstanding ideas.
I will throw in some youtube I just found, since the trend has started, unfortunately two of the best examples were turned into music vids, noted by (music video).
Auction house.
Putting new players in the place of droppers in Alliance Battles, or henchies.
1h hammer, 2h swords and axes for W, let them use the same skills as their counter parts, just attack speed and damage closer to the 2 h hammer.
Armor set bonuses. Ex. Full Gladiator function/style Warrior set gives +1 Energy regen.
Classes wanted:
Summoner (FFXI)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uSeoEL6ZYFI (music video)
Magic Swordsman (Kratos/Zelos/Guy/Tear from 'Tales of' franchise, known as alternative name for Red mage in FF) - medium skill with Sword and shield, moderate healing, and moderate lvl spells for their game.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0ZKH3ADQO0E
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rTB5UyaRTOQ
Fist Fighting and Druid classes.
Effects:
Graphic boost to spell cast and cast time effects. Ground partical effect while in casting time, element effect(ele) and spell class color for (other cast spells). A better partical aura around the caster when spell cast time ends, element effect(ele) and spell class color for (other cast spells). Doing this would pretty it up and makes the spells look more impressive.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1w92VOrdPI0 (music video)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N5saYO6H7
No mounts ( we have instant map (which is better), WOW doesn't. I have no desire to take 10-20 min to fly or ride to a place like I did when I played WOW).

I would love to see an auction house. It makes sence.
More emotes....more funny ones.
mounts would be a nice addition. I see no reason it could not be used. (if i used one it would not effect anyone else except those I partied up with) Just make it where you cant fight or cast spells from it. But I am not hard core one way or the other on mounts. They would be nice.

An encumbrance system like D&D has, and storage items in the Guild Hall like closets for armor, shelves for materials, weapons racks.
Maybe a weapons rack for only green items where you would fill each space with the required green item. That way you can show it off in your Guild Hall. To remove an item requires the password of the player who placed it there.
Or maybe mannequins that you place your armor on that others can see in the Guild Hall.

Less grinding in PvE/PvP. I don't want to work in-game to have fun. I've working IRL already to buy the game.

Just wait til you are lvl 51-53 and unable to grind because the lvl 60s farm for "rep" in every place in the Plaguelands, where power lvling guides say to go.
PVP is bad in wow. The best gear wins, not skill or player level. Less strategy, since you can have all/most of your skills. There are no Twinks in guild wars.
Bad patch system, which does not work right most of the time. Patches that break the game or leave you as an Unknown Entity for hours. Local servers, $25 character transfers just so you can play with friends...
The WOW community is the most antisocial and childish group of people I have seen in my years of online gaming, its the closest to Halo 2 Xbox Live that PCs will get. Over the 3 year life of the gaming clan I am in, WOW players have cause more grief, problems, bans, and headaches than exponential sum of the other game players. Well rounded people I have known both offline and thru the community have become short tempered, rude, antisocial jerks after playing WOW for a long period of time. The wow guilds I have been in or have had friends in last no more than a month because a group get mad either over gear or some refusing to play any thing other than a Twink.
Bad PVP, foolish account server setup, joke patch system, "rep" grinders, and a rude antisocial community. Worth $5 a month, not $15.

in a way gw is a good game but somethings has to change, even though i've been playing gw for several months alot of thing are getting annoying and boring, for starters gw has to have something similar to auction houses cause everywhere u go some is trying to sell something all public channels are jammed with it. extended character customization i've seen alot of identical players, pve enviroment there is nothin' to do exept for killing enemies ones u leave town or city. some people think all idea are from wow but idea is an idea to make gaming experience much better than what it is right now.

I have been thinking about what can make the gaming experience more enjoyable for me. I don't know about you but here are a few of my thoughts:
- increase the latest storage upgrade to 500 or 1000 units for each material to stock.
- some sort of storage upgrade for armor, a closet or something (alrdy have 4 types of armor and several headpieces that take a lot of space away, this will get worse with every new chapter)
- double the space in bags (20 instead of 10)
- rent a mule (donkey) which can hold 4-6 bags of 20 slots and stands next to the storage agent for example.
- the ability to re-style faces, hair, lenght of the body etc. New skins would be welcome too.
- white dye, don't exactly understand why we don't have it.
- The abilty to craft rare skinned weapons, silver and customised for your character only. The weapon can carry your name like some greens and their masters.
- Auction house, we need that one Gaile.
- Mail system.

I like those ideas. To highlight it I really want like to see:
- Pets that actually do more then just lvl up ~ Why can't we ride them in their backs ~ like maybe we buy a saddle ~ for like 1k in kaineng or droknars ... Buy armor for pets or w/e make em' more then clueless machines. After all they are our beloved pets :P
- For God's sake ~ plzzz plzzzzzzzzzz ~ I.N.C.R.E.A.S.E the storage space. ArenaNet should realize that the majority if not all players have trouble to bank their materials and maybe those collector items, armor sets, *event items*... give us some more room. Like increase the storage slots *atleast* to about 50 slots or something ~ pay 1k if need be
That's all from me for now
